Sach 1942. Oficialni organ U. J. C. S. Praha. Monthly. In Czech. Editors: K. Zmatlik, J. Louma, L. Prokes, J. Genttner, J. Matys. Title page, index, 172, 28 pages. Issues 1-12. Volume 36 (4). All covers bound in (issued only with issues 1-7). LN 5985. Soukup 7. Mokry 240. Di Felice 2061.
The magazine states volume 4, but it was in fact a continuation of Ceskoslovensky sach, making it the 36th annual volume. The volume numbering was finally standardized only in 1946.
The Zupni vestnik supplement, like the covers, was published only through issue 7. From issue 8 onward, the magazine was published without covers or the supplement.
Ceskoslovensky sach is the main Czech chess magazine published continuously since 1906. The title changed over time mainly for political reasons: Casopis ceskych sachistu (1906–1919), Casopis ceskoslovenskych sachistu (1920–1926), Ceskoslovensky sach (1927–1938 and 1946–present), and Sach (1939–1945).
Condition - Fair to Good: Elegant half-cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Occasional markings and spotting. A larger brown stain on pages 145-149 – see photo. Issues 11-12 and the Zupni vestnik supplement have browned paper.
