Admission ticket issued by the Quebec Chess League for the simultaneous exhibition given by Bobby Fischer. On February 25, 1964, the League welcomed the young American prodigy at the Chalmers Wesley Church Hall. At twenty years old, Fischer faced fifty players and defeated them all in under three hours, before an attentive and sizeable audience. This evening, rare and memorable in the city’s chess history, remains Fischer’s only visit to Quebec and reflects the local enthusiasm for chess at the time.
