Max Euwe’s Course of Chess Lectures — the influential Russian edition of his classic Practische Schaaklessen — is a landmark in early Soviet chess education. This 1930 OGIZ “Fizkultura i turizm” printing presents 11 lucid lectures built on model games by Greco, Philidor, Anderssen, Morphy and Steinitz, blending history with clear, practical instruction. Early Soviet printings are scarce in commerce; complete copies in sound condition are sought after by collectors of Euwe and pre-war Russian chess literature.
