Good to very good: light general signs of use, a few notes on the back.
The Steinitz memorial was played in Marianske Lazne / Prague in June 1956. The photo is from the first part of the tournament played in Marianske Lazne.
The game was played in the 4th round and ended as a draw in 33 moves.
The winner of the tournament was Miroslav Filip with 13 of 19, ahead of Ragozin, Flohr, Pachman, Stahlberg etc.
Biographical data:
Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), the best Czechoslovak player in 1950s, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. Multiple Czechoslovak chess champion. He played in 12 olympiads.
Salo Flohr (1908-1983), Czechoslovak, later Soviet GM, one of the top players in 1930s, World championship candidate.
