Size 30 x 21 cm
Good to very good: light traces after horizontal and vertical center fold, light signs of use.
The author of the letter writes about his intention to publish a book of studies, Fascinujici sachovnice (The Fascinating Chessboard). It seems that he was already quite advanced in his work on the book, but it was never published.
Biographical data:
Bretislav Soukup-Bardon (1909-1985), by own name Bretislav Soukup, the addition of Bardon was his wife's maiden name. Czech study and problem composer, author of ca 150 studies and ca 80 problems.
Bedrich Formanek (1933-2023), Slovak chess problem composer, author of many hundreds of problems. He wrote more than 10 books and edited more than 7,000 chess columns in various newspapers. President of the Permanent Commission of the FIDE for Chess Compositions (PCCC) in 1994-2002.
