Biographical data:
Alexander Pituk (1904-2002), Slovak chess composer, author of 584 problems. FIDE awarded him the title of Honorary Master of Chess Composition.
Ludovit Lacny (1926-2019), Slovak chess problem composer. The problem theme Lacny cycle is named after him.
Peter Gvozdjak (born 1965), Slovak chess composer, GM of chess composition, author of the books Cyclone and Cyclone 2.
Bedrich Formanek (1933-2023), Slovak chess problem composer, author of many hundreds of problems. He wrote more than 10 books and edited more than 7,000 chess columns in various newspapers. President of the Permanent Commission of the FIDE for Chess Compositions (PCCC) in 1994-2002.
