Roma, 1911. Contemporary cloth, spine lettered, marbled edges. XIV, (2), 216 pages + 1 plate. Size ca 23 cm. The weight 560 grams. LN 6185. Di Felice 2013. In Italian.
Very good: binding is tight with no flaws. Stamp of previous owner on the front paste-down = chess composer and collector Ilja Mikan. Pages are clean, with occasional neat marks in red pen or crayon in the problem section in Mikan's hand.
Complete volume, numbers 1-12, including halftitle, title and index. The covers are not bound in.
The plate shows the group photo of the 11th Italian chess championship in Roma 1911 (XI. Torneo Scacchistico Nazionale) and is the only plate published in this volume. By the way, the entire five-number issue marked Guigno-Ottobre 1911 is devoted to this tournament.
(The magazine was published monthly from 1900 to 1912-13. It has subtitle: Organo Ufficiale dell’Unione e dell’Accademia di Scacchi di Firenze).
